This Work Has Always Been Personal
Hi, I’m Amalia.
Welcome to Casa de Amalia, a space for healing, ritual, protection, and remembering.
My path into this work began long before I thought of it as a business. It began in the most important role I have ever held: being a mother.
When my daughter experienced health challenges that no one could fully explain, I found myself searching for ways to care for her beyond what I already knew. I turned toward prayer, ritual, plants, spiritual cleansing, and practices that felt strangely familiar.
I began with bath limpias, whispered words over teas, and candles dressed with intention.
I didn't feel like I was discovering something completely new.
It felt like remembering.
What began as devotion slowly became a practice—and eventually, a path I knew I wanted to continue walking.
Who I Am
I'm a Reiki Master, practitioner of Mexican-rooted healing arts, and graduate student of Classical Chinese Medicine.
My work centers around helping people clear what feels heavy, protect what matters, reconnect with themselves, and create space for movement when life feels stuck.
Today, my work may include Reiki, spiritual cleansing, candle work, road opening, protection work, and ritual.
At the same time, I'm continuing my education in Chinese Medicine and body-based healing practices, allowing Casa de Amalia to grow alongside me.
I don't believe healing has to be intimidating, inaccessible, or complicated.
Sometimes it begins with something as simple as being heard, slowing down, and having someone hold space while you find your next step.
The Work
My current offerings include:
Reiki & Energy Work
Space to rest, reconnect, and support energetic balance.
Limpias & Spiritual Cleansing
Traditional and intuitive cleansing practices for clearing heaviness and unwanted energy.
Protection & Evil Eye Work
Ritual and spiritual practices centered around cleansing, strengthening, and protection.
Road Openers & Candle Rituals
Intentional ritual work for moments when you feel blocked, stagnant, or ready for movement.
Collective Rituals
Shared ritual spaces created around common intentions such as protection, release, abundance, and opening the road.
Every person is different. If you're unsure where to begin, we can start with a conversation and determine what feels appropriate for where you are.
From Practice to Purpose
Before I ever created a product or offered a service, I was already doing this work.
Road openers. Cord cuttings. Limpias. Prayer. Candle work.
At first, it wasn't about creating a business.
It was about caring for myself and the people I loved.
I still remember performing a limpia and energy reset for a friend who came to me feeling weighed down. Watching the shift afterward changed something for me.
I began to understand that the work I had been doing quietly could also become something I offered intentionally to others.
That realization eventually became Sweet Waters Sanan.
And as I continued growing; personally, spiritually, and through my education...the work grew too.
Eventually, Sweet Waters no longer felt large enough to hold everything this practice was becoming.
And so it became Casa de Amalia.
Why Casa de Amalia
Amalia is my name, but it was also my grandmother's.
My connection to her remains deeply personal, and the hummingbird that represents Casa de Amalia carries a meaning connected to her presence in my life.
So this name isn't simply a rebrand.
It represents returning, remembering, and making room for what is still becoming.
Casa de Amalia is the home I'm creating for all of this work: the practices that brought me here, the traditions I'm reconnecting with, the medicine I'm studying, and the work I will continue growing into.
My Approach
I don't believe healing needs to be forced.
I don't believe every difficult season needs an elaborate ritual.
And I don't believe someone should have to feel afraid, ashamed, or overwhelmed to ask for support.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in meeting you where you are.
Some people come to me wanting spiritual cleansing or protection.
Some need rest.
Some feel stuck.
Some simply know that something needs to shift.
We begin there.
An Invitation
If you've been feeling heavy, disconnected, blocked, or simply ready for something to change, you're welcome here.
You don't have to know exactly what you need before you arrive.
Come as you are.
We'll begin there.
Sanar es volver a casa.
With love,
Amalia
